UT3 = Dx10 yay or nay?

im really unsure of this because no matter where i look the answer is always different...
i mean the graphics look sexy as hell!!! but is it actually dx10 or is it dx9??

also just goign to throw this in there but can the crysis demo be played dx10? i cant see an option and when i run the benchmark for dx10 i dont know if i can see much difference

UT3 is DX9.

Yes, the Crysis demo can be played in DX10. When you run the game it defaults to DX10. To run in DX9 right click it in the game explorer.

I think that if you run UT3 with Vista the game runs with a few DX10 things, but I can't remember what they are, I know the difference is small though.

There is very little which can be done in DX10, but not in DX9.

DX10 was primarily about increasing maximum shader lengths, for future-proofing reasons, and consolidating frequently used shader paths. The benefits are (theoretically...) better performance, rather than better visuals per se.
