UT3 Lag in online play

Hi Folks,

I am experiencing a lot of lag in online play in UT3 (beta patch 2) that I don't get in offline mode. I join the lowest ping server I can (usually around 30ms) but whilst in game, if I type in stat net, it shows my ping as being around 60! However it feels even slower than that making using the sniper and shock rifle really hard.

Are there any waysto tweak the net connection to get the best out of it? I am on Virgin media 2mb (I think, the lowest package) and have the ingame set to cable modem and have disabled dynamic net speed (not really sure what that is).

I don't have anything else running on the background of my PC and have forwarded port 7777 on my router. I haven't played any other games online yet to compare, I only have TF2 installed for online play so I'll have to give it a go later but any suggestions are welcome!

Not much help but the same happens to me, low ping but it still feels laggy with people often jumping about (no it isn't the translocator).

Just tried CS:S and it is fine, there's no lag at all. Must be just a UT3 thing. Does anyone know what the dynamic net speed does and if it should be enabled or disabled? Also, any other changes that can be made to help the connection?
