UT3 - Performance..

I am getting a strange problem with UT3..

I can run the game fine at 1280x720 at maximum detail. But i keep getting frames randomly dropping.. (its a bit like lag, but my ping is perfect and steady around 20)

It seems to be particularly bad just after a i spawn, but it seems to happen at any point in any matches. I have tried lowering the settings to the minimum but it still happens..

Anyone got any ideas?

Could be packet loss - you can't really tell from your ping. Maybe try going to DSLreports and run some of the tests.

The lag before spawn and just after is normal, well I think it is, should be fixed in a patch btu I get it.

this has happened with me and off line as well - seems to pause to load up? COD4 seems to suffer from this as well in single player mode (I have not tried online)

what is it with these games?
