Hi

I found this...

http://www.seriousbit.com/tweak_windows_7/

EnhanceMySe7en (they do a similar version for Vista) and having played around with it I thought that I would let people here know who might want to try it out.

I would advise caution on trying out some of the settings and I created a restore point first just in case of any issues. It seems to have lots of options and tweaks so have fun and I'll note my usual disclaimer that if it b0rks up your system don't blame me :D

Have fun

I'm sorry to say but all of these sorts of tweak are pretty pointless. They don't really have an effect on system performance. They just give the illusion that they do. I created a thread a while ago with a number of tweaks you can do in Windows Vista but it was a pretty pointless thread really since they really had absolute no effect on the performance of the system. I haven't changed a single setting in Windows Vista and Windows 7 and both operating systems are running extremely well.

Maybe some of the tweaks might be pointless for some however as an information tool it is quite good as well as an easy solution to remove the shortcut arrows and "shortcut to..." etc etc etc from items on the desktop, if required.
