Hey guys I need a bit of advice!

I have been asked for proof of address from a potential employer, they need either a utility bill or a bank statement less than 3 months old.

I sent them my credit card statement thinking it was enough, but it turns out it doesn't count.

The problem is I don’t have any bank statements less than 3 months old, they come quarterly or half-yearly, and the only bill I receive is my Telewest Blueyonder broadband bill.

I don’t want to go through the hassle and wait of sending the wrong thing again.

So basically does anyone know for sure if the Telewest bill counts as a utility bill?

Or is a utility bill more like gas, electric, landline phone etc….

Thanks for the help!

Gas/electric/water are definitely acceptable, the others I'm not sure of.
Why not ring or e-mail them and ask them if your Telewest bill counts?

telewest would count I would have thought (as it's a standing service), although as mentioned you could ring and check.

It is not generally the norm, but it is getting more common now with banks, financial institutions and certain government jobs..

Not in most places..

I will try getting in touch to see what they say, but the problem is it will take time because hr is located elsewhere, and I got the job offer from the people on the desk.
