uTorrent will be available on the Mac very soon and two weeks ago we wrote an early review. Today we read that anonymous statistics show that uTorrent will be twice as fast as Azureus, but is this really the case?

I'm quite fond of Transmission, but for the Windows crowd then this could prove a hit!

Also, here's a link for the sneak-peek at the Mac Version of uTorrent :)

Looks pretty good, much lighter compared to Azureus.

Although I think I will continue using Transmission as it does what I need.

I thought this was a thread announcing that it'd come out! those articles are a few weeks old now. thanks for getting me all excited over nothing! :(;)

Just found this, and was hoping that uTorrent would be out soon and I could update the thread in the coming days/weeks

Oh well, Transmission does what I need :)

Just a bit of a bummer for those who wanted to use it

All is not lost.

I got uTorrent running very nicely using Darwine/X11/Fink today. After a bit of tinkering I managed to get anti-aliased TrueType fonts too.

I love Transmission but it just isn't suitable at the moment without packet encryption to get round the nasty shaping my ISP does :(

I just did that as well, E1mo - any idea how to enable left click on there? ctrl-click doesn't seem to want to play ball

I didn't try Ctrl-Click initially as I was using the newer Macs trackpad right click (two finger + click) which oddly works fine. Not sure why good old fashoined Ctrl-Click doesnt work.
