Pretty much what my long title says, ive got the latest utorrent build, run thru the portfowarding.com guide for utorrent on my new netgear router, ive tried a few dozen times to single and range forward my listening port but it still fails the speedguide port forwarded test, yet I still
get a green tick to say my connections ok and get 1.1meg+ on my downloads on an 16meg line (10megish max)

Emule ports foward perfect without issue...same guide/settings used.

Cant figure it out, but plugging in my old linksys router it goes green and passes the speedguide port test just fine !

Any ideas?

I wouldn't let it worry you I don't even have port 12608 forwarded on my router and all is well and I pass the speed port forward test.

Have you tried using UPnP on your router and utorrent to automaticaly open the correct ports that you need? when i used a netgear router, port forwarding never quite worked right for me when using utorrent, but using UPnP worked perfectly fine.

my netgear router will block speedguides port tests even when the port is open. if uTorrent is showing a green tick then chances are, everythings working fine :)

Yeah UPnP is enabeled so is it in utorrent settings....It is strange since my m8 with the same router just enabeled the Upnp and his utorrent always worked fine and gets the green tick and speed test works just fine also, hes gonna email his config bit later on just in case.

I know its just a mental thing, I will sleep better at night knowing its ports are truely fowarded :p

When i was using a netgear, although i set it up correctly, the port wouldn't show as open with the port test so i reset the router with a pin, set it up again and all was well.
Have you assigned your pc a static ip?

Have you tried the advice your given on the utorrent port test page? E.g. make sure 72.20.34.145 isn't being blocked in any way

You know another m8 was telling me the samething maybe its just that speedguide page being blocked ! but I did disable ip filter dat to false, or should I port forward that 72.20.34.145 from the netgear router settings also ?
