Routing less cables is always less hassle, less channel to cut, less cable to hold in place hAving run loads of cable both at home and work the less you have the easier it is!
Personally I'd get the master socket moved and only run two cable to behind the TV and use a switch your are very unlikely to be using more than one device at once so it will be fine.
