i have been told that uv dye is bad for watercooling systems. however is there any other way (apart from using uv tubes) to get uv reactive water, which doesn't ruin your system after prolonged use?

was going to use deionised water with some dye (or equivalent)

what coolant should i use - is the deionised water ok? or should i use special liquid from e.g. koolance or somewhere similar? is liquid like this that contains preadded uv colourant ok? or should i just use plain deionised water and uv tubing?

thanks

I had a horrible time with UV additive, I added it to my system and it made the water very 'foamy' and the pump started cavitating and making a racket.

In the end I threw it all away and now just use UV reactive tubes with normal cooling water.

what one did you use?
