Hi there,
I've just bought a few things for the insides of my case, as i'm looking to make a side window soon. I've bought some 12" UV lights (2), and a UV reactive fan grill which comes with a small UV light behind it.

Both of these have a strange little adapter. The molex cable has a small plug on it coming off, which goes into a box. Into the box, up to two things can be plugged in. This is the same for both of these new things. The problem is, I now have two little boxes stuck down on my power supply, with cables going in one end, out the other end, and then to each side of my case. This is a nightmare for my cabling, which is already bad.
I've also ordered a fan controller because my PC sounds like a shuttle taking off, and i'm sure this is going to make the wiring job even worse. I really need to sort it out.

I'm currently spending time wiring cables through the back, behind the motherboard, i didn't know this could be done before and I put the computer together in a rush.

So, my question is... these little boxes that are causing me problems, is it not possible to just have one, which plugs into a normal molex, and will provide power to all three of these devices? It's a nightmare because each one of them, has two cables going into it... red and black, not wired together or wrapped in any way. that * 3 = 6 cables, add the two going to the boxes each makes 8 extra cables, half of which are bright red, all of which are scrawny and horrid looking.

If it helps, the UV lights I used are: AK 188-UV

Also, does anyone have any tips for where to put them in a CM690, at the moment I have one stuck down the side of the drive bays, and one across the bottom. My UV cables have not come yet so i'm not sure about if it provides enough light, but they're kind of in the way.

Those are 'inverters', the reason i don't use cathodes.

Have a look at led strip lights as an alternative, straight into a molex with no ugly box.

google 'lamptron elite' they are only in the usa at the mo just ordered mine you can plug for cathodes into one inverter and it looks nice enough not to hide it i will post when i get mine and if required a mini video

i found a zalman one a while back on a competitor. TBH your better off going LED much safer than an inverter (goes bang near pricey components is not a good mix)
