UV Tattoo

Seen these from before, no one knows what the ink does long term. I think its been proven to be a carsengenic(sp)

I'm pretty sure the older inks were proper, proper dodgy, but the newer ones have been developed that are thought safe. They do look pretty awesome lit up for sure :)

Must be a pain in the arse for the artist to have to work under a blacklight though!

But aren't the normal inks used also carcinogenic and also contain heavy metals.

The US Food and Drug Administration has no standards for the safety of dyes used in body art. Carbon black, metal salts and other compounds more commonly used in printing or car paint are among those used. Heavy metals and other toxic chemicals in these pigments can seep into the lymph system, says Martin Schmieg, president of the company Freedom-2 in Philadelphia, which is planning to introduce a range of dyes that have already been approved by the FDA for use in cosmetics, food, drugs and medical devices.

Check these out. Invisible when in normal light, and UV under..........well, UV light, and they are permanent.

Look pretty good, not sure how often people go under UV light though.

Oh by the way, that second pic apparently his arm looks so messed up because he just had it done.

It does look very clever but at the same time tacky. I would never get that done on one of my tattoos.

pretty much all of those tattoo's look sbadly done though - very scarred. I know my 'normal' tattoo is smooth as a babies bottom, but look at the scaring on them :( the fully healed ones look ok, but its just not...right.

It looks much better as part of a design i think, rather than the design.

All of those are fresh though in the pictures, which is why they look a bit nasty. I've seen fully healed UV tats that you can't see at all in normal light

I want one. I would like my 2 normal tats highlighted in UV, and then a great big 'something' in UV.

Dunno what though :/
