Does anyone have any info on the UVD feature on the latest ATI cards?
I understand what it does (hardware decoding of HD streams) but don't know how it's actually used or what drivers/apps are required. Do you need a specific UVD-enabled application to make use of the hardware decoding or will anything playing an HD stream automatically make use of it? Can standard Windows Media Player be configured to make use of the hardware?
