Uwan, you seem to be the case god, so what do you think to the lian li v2000b? Im planning on using a triple fan rad in the bottom. Also are the supplied fans any good? Do all the ones ocuk sell now come with the extra side fan thing. Does it have decent airflow over the motherboard because i can get rather high PWM temps sometimes.

Also is it possible to buy extra 5.25 to 3.5 convertors for floppy drives etc?

Do you know of any fan controllers that actually match the lian li brushed aluminum finish well? Ive got the useless lian li thing which has temp controlled fans but im after one which the user can control

Thanks

Great case, got one next to me here. Supplied fand arn't bad. Quite noisy at 12v though, but i havent really played with them much. The one I received was the +II, so it came with the side blower. Not sure about the airflow over the mobo, as ive only got feeble little server in thereat the moment, however the case is a cavern, so there is plenty of space for hot air to go.

Here, have a pic of a v2000b with a tripple rad in it. :) ;

Edit; Woops, slightly big picture there.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ill have a look at the akasa fan controller. I did have one before but sold it :p I might just mod a bezel to fit my vantec nexus fan controller.

Messiah - Is that your case in the pic? Its the exact mounting i want of my rad! Also if it is how is that chipset fan? Ive got the stock one atm which is noisey on my dfi.

Anyway where is Uwan? I thought he was on here 24/7?

Busy, thats where I am, and its Yewen. ;)

Messiah Khan has answered it better than I could have, why I did not reply to this thread.

I only usually post when I can contribute something. :o

Sorry Yemen im not good with names :o

Anyway you might be able to comment on the fans? I assumed the 120mm supplied with the v1000 you have would be the same as those in the v2000?

Also the possibility of another 5 1/4 to 3 1/2 inch drive bay convertor?

The ADDA fans are ok, nothing brilliant for silence mind Ambers are a better bet on the cheap.

You can buy a 5 - 3 bay adapter, its listed on the Lian Li site. :)

Nope, thats not my case. Mine will hopefully look more like this in a few weeks;

:D

Another option for mounting the harddrives in the 5 1/4" bays, is to buy harddrive silencers such has the silentmaxx or the smartdrive 2002c. (Received my smartdrives today by the way Yewen. They are amazing, but OMG how heavy are they, this computer is going to weight a tonne once im finished.)

Lol, id love to have phase back again but it just has too many drawbacks for me. The v2000 is an ideal case for it too. You going for a chilly1 402a?

I always wondered wouldnt the psu get really hot so near to the compressor? With my old mach 2 gt the compressor got reallllllllly hot.

Im still in talks with Gray mole over the details, but hopefully I should have something a bit special when it comes to the head/enclosure. I recon im going with a 404-402 gas blend to allow me to get low temps, but with the ability to lower the rpm on the condenser fan. Im not sure about the temp of the PSU, but im sure Gray mole will have that all worked out. :)

Hi,

Your going to be doing exactly what I am doing at the moment Mr Mister. If you look in the sticky there is a link to my worklog. I have now fitted the Thermochill 120.3 rad but my stupid camera has vanished :mad: so i can't take any pics. But basically I have decided on a different way of mounting the rad so that it is on its side with the fans facing the right side panel. Also I have the Jing Ting chipset cooler and must say it does look nice, unfortunetly havn't been able to try it out but from reviews its supposed to be very quite.

Oh and if your looking for fans I would recommend the Yateloons, I hotwired a psu today to test out the fans and some other bits and at 12v the fans are near quite so at 7v they are gonna be silent. Keep an eye on my thread as I will get pics up one way or another.

Theres my thread if you couldn't find it.

Hi AFK, i had been looking at your thread, looks like nice neat cuts. Will keep an eye on your progress.

Messiah - If you dont mind me asking what sort of price is that setting you back to get the phase fitted in the bottom? In case im tempted in the future.
