I seem to have "lost" one of the spring adjustment screw for my MTB V Brake.... Is this a specific type of screw someone can point me in the direction to purchase (my Google skills are failing me) or can I use any kind of screw??

Its the screw you turn to increase the tension of the spring so that it pulls the brake shoes away from the rim. At the moment, when I press the brake, one of the shoes remains in contact with the rim causing a constant braking action...

Ta :)

Tbh I can't see why a bolt with the same thread won't suffice until you can source a grub screw.

It's serving quite a simple purpose, to realign the arm of the caliper so isn't bearing any load or subject to any force.

Your LBS will probably have a box full of them.
