Just watched this movie and was very very surprised at how bloody good it is, I was expecting something pretty decent due to the cast and the original graphic novel but it was pulled off a lot better than I could have dreamed...definately one of the top 3 comic book adaptions around...the other 2 being X-Men and Batman Begins...closely followed by Sin City in 4th place!
Hugo Weaving's acting was so good that at times I was convinced the mask itself was moving, I have a newfound respect for him after his dire turn in LOTR...also a mention must go to Natalie Portman, didn't realise this girl was quite so talented and on a side note...she even looks sexy with a shaved head...whereas Sigourny and Moore just looked liked blokes
I can't recommend this movie enough...part of me thinks it wasn't well received due to the timing of it's release around the 7/7 attacks in london and a few key scenes...if you haven't seen it...please do

...plus it's perfect DVD quality and i'm not completely anal about my DVD collection, although I will buy whatever super deluxe directors cut multi disk set type thing gets released of this
