The series has only had one short season so far maybe they'll start recruiting for the cell in the second season give it time.

Maybe, but again I doubt it. Didn't need to wait til a second season with the original for the resistance numbers to be flushed out. As I say , I don't think the limited cast is due to storytelling, I think it is down to a combination of being easier to manage, cheaper and a belief that viewers can't follow too many characters at once. We will see though, personally I suspect that it will remain the characters we currently have , with maybe the odd additional character who pops up for a couple of episodes before dying. Certainly nothing like the scale and depth the cast had in the original. It's still a decent sci-fi show, especially with so few around, but for me at least , its inferior to the original

If anyone appeared in front of me and spouted such tosh over and over and OVER again - they'd better look out!

I'm quite enjoying it Its not as good as i remember the original being but I'm sure that if I re-watched the original now I wouldnt be that impressed anyway!

According to the press, its quite lucky we are getting a 2nd series as the ratings in the US were pretty poor until Lost finished and Flashforward dropped off!!!

Roll on series 2.........

I might pick it up on DVD rather than waiting a week for each episode. The adverts don't help either!

S2 doesn't start until 4th January in the USA now. It's been pushed back two months presumably as not to break the season into two over the Christmas hols.

There was 8 episodes Sep-Dec 2009 and then 4 more after the Winter Olympics in March 2010. Then there's 10 episodes of series 2 beginning Jan 2011.

It's not that bad, the effects are as much as their budget is which does show. I didn't watch the original so not sure on comparisons.
