Is the new V10 coolmaster can cope with overclocking 4.2Ghz ? It appear it a good review of this new V10 ! Nearly matched Titan Fenrir Cpu cooler.

Has anyone try it yet on i7 cores overclocking ?

The Titan Fenrir cannot get lower than below 80C as I had tried 10 times to re-apply proper paste same what Rich had show S-Shape and I had tried put alots of it. No difference still getting 92C on Titan fenrir (which it pretty very very poor) I think it could be faulty Titan Fenrir cpu cooler as it doesn't cool it down at all ?

i feel your pain mate mine the same and i am looking at watercooling it now, just reading up on it all

I felt that Rich had lied to us all, I don't believe him using a Titan Fenrir on his lower temp at 79C for 16 hours ful load (more likely he use a watercooling instead) but wouldn't admit it.

He try to selling alots of i7 cores bundles as I know many customers had complaints about the awful Titan Fenrir go over 90C !!!! Impossible to get it lower, only my thermalright 120 extreme can get lower than 70C !!!!

Why sell Titan Fenrir rich ? tell us a truth please as you know us all are really fed up with trying to get it lower, plus you did put the seater correctly once and apply the paste for me, got home, still getting over 90C - not good enough Rich, you had disappointed in me !:(

the titan fenrir is a good cooler
the reason you had terrible temperatures is because you did not use the supplied mounting hardware that came with it
for some reason yours had some sort of screw mechanism when you brought it into the shop

i do not use watercooling in any of my testing

this would defeat the point

quite frankly - every single post of yours that i have encountered is either aimed directly at 'how terrible' you think the bundle is or aimed at me personally
i understand that you have had problems and i have apologised on the private customer support forum and also in person
there really is nothing more i can do

i have never lied on these forums
i only post factual information from testing computer hardware

out of the bundles that ocuk have sold, there have been a very small percentage with issues
the people that have had issues - i have contacted using my own personal email to give the best support that i possibly can
an aftersales service that is uncomparable to any of OcUK's competitors

i have tried my very best to assist you and give customer support for this bundle in my own free time

please try to respect that and not call me a liar

also - please try not to use my name on the forums - i have an alias for a reason

Ok, fair enough. I do apology. Are you saying that I should be using a proper screws that come with Titan Fenrir box (without any cross on top of the screws which I find it hard to tight it up using my own thumb and finger) and do not using my spare 4 x screws with a cross on top of the screws to tight it up with a screwdriver.

What is the minimum for idle temp for 4.00Ghz with Titan Fenrir ?
What is the maximum for full load temp for 4.00Ghz with Titan Fenrir ?
What is the best temp for room temp ?

I will try it again with a proper screws that come in the box. One more last chance. What if it still too hot at 90C full load ? What I do next ? put vcore voltage down abit or up ? I got Antec twelves hundred 1200 case now.

what are you doing having it at 100% load all of the time?

i would personally use the mounting hardware that came with your cooler
that way you will use the coolers intended mechanism and use it in the way it was designed to work

changing factors in a bundle like this can affect performance and lead to issues
if you set it up the way it is intended to be set up - then that removes a factor that could lead to failure

if you cant get the thumbscrews tight - use some pliars or molegrips

but i guess you threw the fenrir away so it might be a bit late

if it still goes to 90'c under full load then i suggest trying a vcore decrease in the bios

take it down a notch - then test for stability
keep doing this until it crashes then take it back to the last stable voltage

this way you find the minimum stable voltage

that should knock a few degrees off

i will check again [when i am back in work] how you get on

Yes, it too late now as I threw Titan Fenrir in the skip. However, I will try to get a best cpu cooler of this one: Prolimatech Megahalems Performance CPU Cooler and see how it go ?

Shall I test prime95 or intel burn for at least an hour - then my gaming should be ok for under 75C full load.

One big problem, the flight simulator x is freeze if I set 3800 NB Freq and had change it down to 3200 NB Freq and it still stable. (x36 and x16)
