v1000 help!

quick question, just doing a few mods to the front panel cable from my v1000, now this might sound dull but! with the connectors at the end theres a block connector, which i assume like others just plugs in to my motherboard and then there is individual connectors for each port on the main block, do i need them or can i remove them leaving just the main big block to plug in ?

just uploading some pics from my camera to my pc to give you a visual idea of what im talking about, posting this now incase one of you clever people can understand what im rabbiting on about

you are completely safe to trim them, just ensure you don't leave any bare wire shorting against anything

what mods you doing to the front panel, or are you just cable routing/tidying?

braiding the front panel cables as a completly black case looks odd with whiet/gray cables
