V1000 +II and Tuniq Tower compatibility

Quick question, see the image below. Will the Tuniq Tower CPU cooler fit with this CPU air duct where it is? Looks like it'll be right on top of the Tuniq. Does this pose any problems? I don't know how far down in the case it extends. Anyone know?

couldnt say about that particularr case, but I can tell you that Ive got a tuniq tower and they are mahooosive, wouldnt even fit in my TJ-03 unless I installed it with the mobo tray already in place.

So tbh I doubt that extra duct would go over the top of the tuniq...

The duct is easily removable btw.

Would removing the duct have any significant impact on the cooling properties of the case, or is it a bit of a gimmicky addition anyway?

The duct is there to aid the rear fan (which sucks in) cooling stock CPU coolers like the intel. Stock design is a heatsink with fan on top that blows air through the heatsink. This cpu heated air is then blown out the top of the case by the side fan.

Not a gimmick at all tbh, for its intended use it does a good job.

Anything non stock and you'll want rid of it, and possibly want to try testing your temps with the fan sucking and blowing on the rear of the case. I reversed mine and achieved better temps, others found the opposite. All down to your cooling.
