Well, I don't usually come in here to post but still ;p
Sometime tomorrow (Hopefully anyway lol) I'm going to be wedging a second 7800GTX into my V1000+ , and I want to see if anyone has any better ideas about the cooling setup than it currently is-
I have a 120mm Amber on 12v running as a rear intake, and a second 120mm Amber as a top exhaust. (The previous owner modded the case to use a 120.2 rad- I'm just using it as a blowhole)
Otherwise, there is some airflow from the PSU at the bottom & nothing else.
I'm not entirely sure how the 2 cards are going to react- Both are fitted with VF700s, and this is going to be a very nasty squeeze, with not much airflow on the bottom card.
I've considered fishing out a spare 80mm fan and attaching it to the 2 cards blowing forwards simply to give a little more airflow, but I'm not sure.

Otherwise, the HDDs are running in the high 40s (4 of them, one being a Raptor), and as such I've got no real problem with the temps there, even if they could be a little lower. Theres no front intake, as theres a load of cathodes in the way.
The rear intake is runnning through the CPU cooler (CNPS7700), allowing me to practically run it passive (I can, but prefer to run it at min & have temps in the high thirties as opposed to fifties)

I would like to reduce the noise to near silence, but I don't think thats really an option without WC because of the airflow needed for the CPU & graphics coolers.

Anyway, thoughts appreciated on this ramble.

Cheers- Couldn't think of anything better really :D
Edit: Oops  The second GFX cards fan was stuck lol. Idle temps are now 42c with the fan at 12v (Zalman Fatal1ty, sounds like a hoover).

Only real pain was modding the Zalman NB heatsink to fit the second card in- I've had to remove 3 rows of the fins simply to get the necessary clearance. Piccies of the current mess inside:

I've currently got the cathodes at the front turned off and the cabling will be tidied when the new PSU arrives tomorrow.
