Going to be getting a few bits and bobs soon and was hoping someone would cast their eyes over this to make sure i hadn't missed anything or make sure it is all compatible case wise.
I have posted it in GH also so this is just a case/components check.

Changed a couple of bits due to good advice.


Conroe E6600 (cp-128-in)
Gigabyte ds3 (mb-061-gi)
Corsair xms2 6400 4 (my-108-cs)
Connect x1900xt (gx-047-co)
Seagate barracuda 7200.10 250g (hd-079-se)
sythe ninja plus (hs-003-sy)
Tagan 580w psu (ca.006.tg)
Lian Li pc v1100 plus silver (ca-030-LL)

Final thoughts gentlemen?

Spec' seems fine as far as I can tell.

Two questions though:

Why are you getting the v1100+ when you can get other cases for that money? Have you considered the S80 or even the v1000+? You could even consider the Eclipse 62 or p180.

Secondly, why do you need bezels if you've got a door anyway?
 
The Lian Li v1100+ is far superior to any P180.

Great case, if its a modular PSU you only have space for 3 hard drives though, but if your running 6 hdds you dont need a modular PSU anyway!

One thing to remmeber with the V1000's, the cooling will be dire, you need to mess about with fan configuration to get them cooling really well on air, but once you have it cracked its a dream. If you need a hand with it just ask once its built up. :)
 
Yewan, if by messing around you mean cutting and bending then you are being economical with your words. Hopefully you mean placement of fans and having a tidy case.
And if thats the 'case' then i certainly will be calling on you for advice.

I mean unscrewing fans and turning them around, or removing them. :)

Nothing more than that, just can take a few hours to work out which is the coolest setup for your rig, unlike most cases where its in and out the V series is slightly more complicated at times.
 
ok cool looks like the case is all sorted then.
Guess i'll start having to tell the missus i love her and buy her flowers ready for the credit card bill to come next month!?!?!?!?!? :cool:
 
Your setup is exactly the one i currently have running beside me bar the motherboard which is the asus p5w dh deluxe and the Lian-Li PC V1000 PLUS Black Aluminium Midi-Tower case.

The V series are very good for cooling, IIRC Yewen had his V1000+ running passively and getting very respectable temperatures which could compete with the likes of lesser cases such as the Stacker which were running a HSF.
 
Overall spec looks set to be a killer rig.

The v1000+ comes with a floppy drive bay cover on the front as stock, you may want to get a fan controller or CD drive bezel so you are not stuck with it.

I used the TR3a, which is a temperature monitor.

Yewen, what is your v1000+ used for now? You replaced your main rig with the s80 didn't you?
 
it looks nice the v1100 plus in black as i'm thinking of getting one to replace my stacker

is the door on the front in aluminum ?

i would say look at the v1000 and v1100 in black as the v1100 doesn't look quite right in sliver
