Hi.

I don’t post in here often but I just want a bit of reassurance on an order I made on OC today.

All the documents and literature I saw and agreed to state that if you pay the full main of credit and the £29 settlement fee before the end of the 12months BNPL, you don’t pay the interest.

But looking at the app, it’s showing my £1100 credit as £2000 to pay.

That’s.. if I don’t pay up in 12 months right? Or have I just learned a very expensive lesson?

I would seek clarification with Overclockers / V12 on what is to be paid but there should be a cooling off period for any financial agreement, which should mean you could cancel/return in the event that it isn't what you expected.

It’s probably the total with interest - my car finance with Blackhorse was the same, so rather than add on interest every month it just showed the total I’d be paying and would tick down by the monthly payment.

By asking for a settlement figure it came up with the number I expected.

In this case: loan was 14 grand and total payable after 5 years was about 18 grand, and this figure was the one showing as ‘left to pay’. Asking for a settlement figure after two payments came up with 13 something.

Yeah it'll be showing the full. I had similar with v12 and some mattresses on finance. It wasn't what showed on the paperwork. But it doesn't show the finance as if you pay it before the BNPL ends.

It also had me confused when you make a payment as well, as they then do an adjustment for the interest. Looks confusing.

I messaged them a few times in the app until I understood what they were doing. Best advice I have is make a few payments until you are close to what you think is the final payment, get the settlement (via the app) and pay that final payment and you'll be spot on. Which will probably be less than what the app shows also.

:)

If it helps, I have used V12 multiple times in the past. Found them great and have never had any issues.

Saying that, I never missed any payments and always settled any agreement during the interest free period. :)

Went with V12 for this decades system upgrade :P

The app is clear and easy to use. They're very upfront about everything.
