I've got my nice new shiny v3i but am struggling with organising my contacts. I copied all contacts to the phone from my SIM (to be able to name them nicely etc.), so now i have duplicates of everyone. Does it just expect me to delete the ones from my SIM card, or is there a way to get it only to show contacts on the phone, and not the SIM? :confused:

Also, i liked the feature on my old k700i where i could enter multiple numbers for a contact - and to scroll through their numbers you just hit right and left. Can i set up my v3i like that? How? :confused:

Thanks.

yes Im fairly sure you will have to delete them from the sim if you only want to see phone contacts.

Also, you can add more than one number per name but its not like a nokia. At the bottom of the adding or editing contact screen there is a MORE option, go to that option and you can add another phone number or email address. They will show up as individual contacts as default, you have to change the setup to view only the primary contacts.

Ahh thats what i thought it might have to be. Hmn so i'll have to go through and set all the primary numbers as well? :( What a pain!

yeah its not the best, neither is the fact that theres no option to set sms deilvery reports to always on, and the fact that you can only store 100 messages even though i have 80mb memory in it!

Hi, i'm slowly getting used to the phone now heh. I installed the Motorola software to see what it let me do, and lo-and-behold it let me edit my contacts. Phew! a lot easier to do it on the PC than do it on the phone. Sorted, and i've even got it set up with primary numbers so i dont see duplicates :)

/*happy finally*/
