V5 Not turned up

Its been 4 and a bit weeks, time to start flapping or wait a little longer?

I want to buy a few mods but I'm a little nervous about doing so without the V5 turning up first

Just call them. I wrote off the Golf before my V5 turned up and I was worried I wasn't in the database so therefore in insurance hell if I wasn't the "registered keeper".

Turns out when I called that I was in the database, they were just slow at sending it out.

Mine took almost a month.

It sounds daft but didnt realise you could call to check the status of it as the website goes on about filling in a form, if it doesnt turn up today I'll give them a call

Mine only got sent off last Friday, going to be a while. It's a shame, I wanna put my personal plates back on!

I've looked around on the net, some people are getting there in as short as 6 working days! One can only hope.

If you can't get one from the dealers you can send of a V62 to request a new V5 be issued. It won't cost you anything if you mark on it that you're the new owner and did not receive the V5 in the post.
