Has anyone got/driven one of these, what are your thoughts? Maybe @dragonmike (you came up when I searched).

Quite keen on one, I have a V60 (T5, Polestar remap) which I like but it’s not the most exciting thing. Not really keen on the Audi/Merc/BMW alternatives so wondering if the Polestar might be worth a look.

I cannot imagine it totally transforms the car such that somebody who doesn't find a V60 that is already quite quick exciting suddenly would the Polestar version. You're probably going to need to look elsewhere if its excitement you want.

Do you mean the hybrid one? I really like the look and the idea of one. Niche performance hybrid Volvo with massive brakes and track suspension pulling along near 2 ton of car.

Decided that if I were to go hybrid then I'd get a 330e touring over the V60. More of a known quantity and easy to move on in the future.

I’ll be honest; I haven’t driven a V60 engineered by Polestar but I can’t see why you’d take one over an M340i Touring.
The V60 is a great car, don’t get me wrong, but the current G20 3 Series is better in every single way (apart from maybe the seats).

The interior is nice, but the BMW is a massive step up. The infotainment is arguably the best of the touch-screen generation but iDrive is better (although the latest version seems unnecessarily fiddly). Build quality is good, but again the BMW is better. Residuals on the BMW are stronger too.

I drove a V60 and went straight into an M340i and just getting inside you immediately notice the difference. But if you’re a Volvo fanboi and would rather have an inferior, but also a cool and rare car, go for it. I totally get where you’re coming from.

Hmm, I’ll take a closer look at the M340.

Yeah, definitely some of the appeal is the rarity and specialness of the P*.

It’s way up on power and some expensive chassis upgrades so I’d imagine there’d be a difference. Haven’t driven one yet though so curious what others think.

Yep, that’s the one!

Would really come down to pricing for me, being someone who is not considering buying either... So my opinion obviously counts for a lot.
