I meant to write this yesterday when I got home but I was really tired and pitted instead.

No big thing really, but I had a pair or rear tyres booked to fit on the rear on my old e30 touring. Usually I'll take my camera with me, but yesterday I didn't, thinking that really nothing particularly exciting would happen at a tyre fitting place. I roll down the road to Bridgnorth tyre center, pull in say hi and wait outside with my car sitting in the center bay. Low and behold of all things a BRG colured R8 rolls in. Had a chat with it's owner who had the car a week and picked up an errant self tapping screw in the right rear tyre. What I wasn't really expecting was the width of the tyre when the wheel was off. Omg they are wide.

So then I have my tires fitted, happy hampsters, and I'm travelling back to Telford, pull in to my friends work place to say hi and just hang out for a little while. Whilst I'm there another long time friend pulls up who we both know in his e38 740 v8, and he in turn is interested in purchasing this red Jaguar circa 1998 XK v8 which belongs to the owner of the property. V8 fest! So I get to ride down to the chippy with him whilst he gives the thing a little test drive. The XK has a Paramount tuning kit with the motor supposedly taking it up to 450 brake and the car was in red, a colour you rarely see on the older model XK's. Quite a nice car all in all, and very rapid. Sounded fab and imho worth every penny of the 12k asking price.

And after that we went for a brief blat in his seven. So whilst my own day might otherwise have been fairly humdrum it is definately fair to say that this little unexpected v8 fest cheered me up. The only thing I didn't have all day long was my camera, and to that end I shall stand in the corner facing the wall because I am a clot. Having said that I might be able to snap pics of the Jag sometimes today or early this week. ;)

Is it rare to see that many v8s in a day where you are? I don't think I could count to the number I see on the walk to the school:p

No it's isn't rare to see them generally. It's just rare for me to have what I thought would be an average day and get up close and personal with three differing varieties AND not have the damn camera to hand lol. Track days and race events doesn't count. :D

I mean this was just not planned at all.
