V8 Volvo S80

Just heard some stuff about the new S80 which has the option of a 4.4 litre V8. Oddly though (or maybe not,) it's got a transversely mounted engine. It is 4WD but I would have thought an engine that size would need to be mounted inline with the prop shaft? Sounds like a pretty meaty car anyway.

Hmmm, well the 4.4 Jaguar engine outputs around 315 bhp. Not phenominal but should be interesting for the police.

More bhp then the 540i mind. (286 bhp)

The Cadillac Northstar V8 was designed for transverse, FWD installation, if I recall correctly...

Bagsy me a rear-ended Ovlov to nick the bits out of and put in the middle of a hatchback...
