VAG 1.9 TDi - MPG!

Well I'm impressed with my Skoda Octy estate today - Travelled from Cardiiff to Bedford doing 60-75mph and I averaged

76.4MPG!! :eek:

Most I've ever done was 64mpg. Still get 13p/mile though

I don't know what it does MPG-wise but my wifes Leon TDI can get us from west wales to yorkshire, drive about for two days and all the way back on one tank.

I had time to kill so thats why I went slow - Time and a half on the way back so will do the same

And I thought the 30mpg my Toledo 2.3 V5 managed from Harlow to Manchester was good

They won't but could check what time I left Bedford.

Then why go so slow? You said that the overtime payment was the reason, but there is no way for them to know how long it took. Therefore i dont see the point as the claim will look identical either way?

Most people drive really slowly heading towards Bedford........

Then really fast when heading away again........
