Well, what a nightmare I've had with laptops. I thought I found a suitable one in the XPS 15z but that was sent back, then I had a think and realised why have a gaming laptop when I don't really game on it. I gave my old HP one to the GF and it's still faultless so I dusted off an old Toshiba A300D and while a little sluggish, it suited me well. Till I flashed the BIOS on it to cure a hardware problem and it died. It's now in bits lol, will try and fix it.
I will eventually get a Mac Air, but I want to buy one outright so will have to save for a few months, but in the meantime I've been offered a Sony VAIO AR71S for £150. It's fully working. I know it's a bit of a beast at 17"'s but I don't tend to travel too often, so just after something as a stop gap till I can afford the 13" air. Is £150 for one a good price? What are they like to own?
