I've got cash now for a s****y laptop, and although I've been waiting for the Asus UL line to come out, I'm getting drawn more and more towards the Vaio Z (I can get a vat-free discount).

there are two issues that I know off that are holding me back.

- Battery Drain. Apparently, it's on the verge of being fixed.
- TRIM support (specifically, for the 2x128 GB version). apparently fixed too.

here's the config :)

VPC-Z11X
I5-520
256gb ssd
1920x1080 LCD
Extended batteries.

The price is still making my eyes water and my wallet cry though.

how much are you thinking of spending?

if it's more than about £800 then you'd really be better off looking at proper business-grade laptops like a dell Vostro, Lattitude or Precision. Also consider Lenovo thinkpads, which though pricy, are the best built and most robust of all laptops.
