I finished my cinema room a while back now and had been putting off getting proper chairs. They always seemed a bit out my price range given that I renovated the entire room myself and then bought everything second hand.

However, Valencia Seating (https://valenciatheaterseating.co.uk/) currently have a black Friday deal on so it caught my eye. Eager to find some seats second hand (again, trying to save even more money) I actually came across the fact that Costco are doing another 20% off the already reduced price on the Tuscany range (https://www.costco.co.uk/Furniture-...m-Furniture/Home-Theatre-Seating/c/cos_2.1.25)

Again, trying to make sure I was getting the best deal possible I reached out to the Valencia to see if they could price match (thinking I might just generally get better support if something was wrong) but they told me it's actually them that directly fulfils the order.

So, taken the plunge and ordered via Costco.

Will update with my thoughts when they arrive but thought others might be interested given the discount currently available.

Cheers for the heads up :D

I've also always just assumed they'd be slightly above budget (plus wasn't ready for seats) so never priced them up, don't suppose you know what they usually sell for? Just I see on the Valencia website it's saying they're having a "one off" Black Friday deal & for example the Tuscany double seat should be £3,999 but is now £2,299, however I also see that pretty much everywhere else is selling them at £2,299 although retailers may just always price match whatever Valencia is currently doing them for.

So I was thinking do they really usually sell for around 4K, but at the min you can get them for less than half price including the Costco 20% off? I'm not actually ready for seats yet but if that is the case I may just get them now anyway.

Thanks again.

I have experience of these Chairs from a friend who has a dedicated room. These are wonderful, wonderful chairs and absolute luxury. You grimace at the price, then buy them reluctantly and then love them. Awesome for a dedicated room.

Just make sure your budget allows a dozen pairs of black socks. The last thing you want to be looking at when these chairs are reclined is the bright white socks you're wearing

If I recall correctly, when I looked at them last year they were actually £4k.

However you’re right, they do seem to be available at the lower price almost everywhere. ALSO, the Costco offer has just been extended from finishing on the 20th to the 27th… so read into that what you will but they’re definitely capitalising on FOMO.

Saying that, I’m currently looking at replacement sofas for the living room and they’re double these… so these feel like a good deal. But in a world of overpriced sofas I’m not sure it’s 100% value for money yet. If you can hold off until Monday when I receive them I’ll post an honest review (if I feel like a sucker I promised to let you know)

Thanks for the reply. I thought I had it in my head they were around 4 to 5 thousand dollars in the US for a double seat, which I'll have probably picked up from an old Youtube video or something & is why I'd wrote them off. I'd be a bit miffed if I'd forked out 4k (which I wouldn't have) last year & they were less than half that now .

I was going to just look at a generic sofa or powered recliner chairs etc for the cinema room once it's done but like you were saying, in comparison to the price of those these days the Costco Valencias are currently looking pretty competitive. I have a feeling the prices may stay around what they are going for now & maybe offers like Costco's could pop up fairly regularly going forward but there's always that FOMO you mentioned saying maybe they won't.

It'd definitely be great to hear your opinion on them once you get them, although Monday will be the day after the 20% ends so I'll have to make my mind up one way or the other! :D
