Decided to surprise the wife with a valentines meal, so took the day off work, dropped the little one off at nursery, and to Asda i went

Not quite as adventurous as some of your valentines meals, but hopefully tasty non the less.

Starters - Mozzarella and tomato tart with a pesto and crouton salad
Main - meatball and spinach penne pasta
Dessert - Chocolate and pistachio souffle

With Champagne, wine, lager and ale.

First and foremost we have a bunch of flowers -

Ok, starter done and ready for cooking this eve -

Puff pastry, mustard, mozzarella, tomatoes and black pepper.

Spicy sausages de sausaged -

And finally pistachios shelled and crushed for the souffle -

And thats it until tonight, so now its time for -

Thats a fair bit of effort. I took my missus to see Les Miserable last night. It was hell. I honestly thought that it would never end.

Aaaaaand dessert -

Done and done, the pudding tasted really really nice, was a bit surprised actually, only seconds after taking it out of the oven though it sank.

Hopefully i will be busy for the rest of the night now
