The Razer Diamondback made its debut in late 2004 at the World Cyber Games and took the gaming world by storm.

This iconic gaming mouse was born from extensive research and engineering, hundreds of design iterations, followed by countless rigorous test sessions with eSports athletes. Featuring the world’s first optical gaming sensor, the original Razer Diamondback delivered the greatest accuracy and speed of its time.

Receiving every major gaming industry award, including Hardware of the Year 2004 (Gamespot), Editor’s Choice (PC Gamer), Editor’s Choice (Computer Gaming World), and more than 200 reviews and awards worldwide, it was one of the most sought-after gaming products in the 2000s, and went on to become one of the best-selling gaming mice of all time.

The Razer Diamondback rises from the ashes a decade after its birth. Now engineered with cutting edge internal mechanisms, this exclusive mouse maintains the iconic, acclaimed ambidextrous form factor of its first predecessor.

The legacy not only lives on, but is now better than ever. We proudly present to you – the Razer Diamondback.

Featuring the distinctive, acclaimed ambidextrous form factor of the first Razer Diamondback, this new and improved gaming mouse suits a wide variety of grip styles and hand sizes. Whether you’re right- or left-handed, use a claw, palm, or fingertip grip, the Razer Diamondback will stay comfortable in hand even during the most action-packed gaming marathons. We have added rubber side grips for more control during lift-off and fast swipes.

Thanks for your post. Guess you're not a fan of Razer products then. The Diamondback is their second best selling shape after the deathadder so some people like them at least.

I always find posters have much more credibility when they back up their posts with facts rather than just wild opinions.

I remember having one of the originals of these in that dark red. I absolutely loved it.

I'll probably be parting company with 65 quid to get one of these, been in the hunt for a new mouse for a while now.

razer viper was one of my 1st ever mice
i loved that thing
if there was a fire in my house i would have taken the time to unplug and take it if it meant only light burns :o

the viper was almost exact same design but no buttons on the side
tho it looks like it might of got a little bigger?? which would be a mistake!

This is a bit rich, when one considers the ammount of silly sales words used to overhype items for sale.

Exactly what does "legendary audio" mean? Or "blisteringly fast"...?

Facts, or just wild opinions?

:P

Edit: P.S Personaly, I would not buy Razer again, having found their build quality to be not very good, and their customer services to be relatively poor.

To be a fan requires me to be
- A supporter
- A blind follower
- Enthusiastically devoted to any change no matter how bad or good it may be

Therefore I am not a fan of Razer or any other over hyped, average quality product.

I understand your position is to get a hard sell at any cost but my position is to open people's eyes which I have done in many other product suggestions that I have bought, reviewed or took an interest to at that time.

I did the same for the CM Novatouch and recently I am doing the same for microphones. Just because something is branded as "for gamers by gamers" does not make it good. Marketing and endorsements sells more than the product itself.
