Did not see this coming. I still have a PS3 downstairs purely for this game as it's one of my favourite RPG's ever. Will be great to get this on Steam forever! Insta-buy when this appears for pre-order, thanks for the heads-up

Valkyria chronicles 2 was psp only.
Valkyria chronicles 3 was psp only and only had a Japanese release.

Just bought it off steam so it's downloading just now. Surprisingly large download for an older PS3 game at 17Gb!
I Usually wait for single player stuff like this to appear on steam sales but I'm kind of excited at the thought of playing it through in PC with the extra DLC plus I'm hoping it buying it at launch encourages Sega to release the sequels on PC. They only appeared on PlayStation portable which is a system I'll never buy as I have no interest in handheld gaming devices. Its pretty high in the charts just now, and getting good reviews, so hopefully it proves popular.

You might enjoy Code Name: STEAM when it comes out on 3ds.
What is it about turn-based Japanese strategy games where they only ever seem to release them on handheld consoles. I loved advance wars and never understood why they didn't bring it out on other platforms! As mentioned I'm not a fan of handheld dedicated consoles so I've missed out on so many of the best J-Strategy games out there during the last decade because of this! In some ways it's a real shame the Japanese go for handheld gaming on dedicated devise as were it not for that I'm sure we'd be seeing these games appearing on phones and tablets more frequently!

Apparently someone in the comments thread claims it's due to running at 120 fps and switching back to 60fps fixed it though I haven't tried it to confirm.
