Hi Guys

Still enjoying my 980ti but seeing it struggle at times in newer titles. I think it will be 5 years next year since I bought it. What's the best value in upgrading at the moment?

With prices at insane levels, you're probably as well buying a console, such as the soon to be released Sony PS or Xbox. Next year will see the release of Nvidias 7nm technology and hopefully prices will return to something approaching affordable.

A Console will also probably hold its value better as well.

It's funny you say that. I've been thinking about going for the PS5 for awhile when it comes out. I'll see when they release next year, how the land lies between the cards and a console.

Damn 780Ti card failed today, thick green lines over the Raid Bios, thin green lines over the main Bios and refused to boot into windows full stop. Took it to local friendly PC shop who confirmed the worst, offered to reflow the solder on the chips, but I think the memory has failed. I've been forced to order the 2070 Super KSA2 which has a decent discount, especially the 3 fan version.

There is no value upgrade for a 980Ti atm (in my opinion) the performance gains from anything less than a 2080Ti are too small and the price of a 2080Ti is simply not worth it as a value for money move. You are forced to wait for more perfmance at a high price or better performance at a reasonable price IF you want value for money.

If the 2080Ti was £650 that would be the move, but it ain’t so buy your way out or wait it out.

Depends on your monitor i have a X34 and it wasn't cutting it 80-100fps low now 120+ ultra in apex makes a differnce that was in 980ti sli as well. BFV ultra with RTX and DLSS at 3440x1440 and getting 70-80fps is really nice looking too granted my 2070super is making 2070 on the core and 8100 on the mem its a beast.
