Value of AMD 7***, and Nvidia 6** when new cards launch.

Just curious to see what you people think, I have decided to wait for new cards to be released, will most likely wait for custom cooled cards to be released.

1. So, how much do you think current cards will be worth, once the new cards come out in the coming months?
   
2. How much of a loss will you have on your current graphics card's, if you decide to buy the upcoming new cards?

Can't be sure if history would repeat itself but...

When HD6000 series was launched, 5850 dropped from £180-200 down to £125-£140 and GTX470 from £250 down to £160; when HD7000 series was launched, 6950 2GB and GTX570 (at one point) dropped from £220 and £240 down to £150. For the shift from the HD7000 series to HD8000 seris though...I'm not sure if we would be lucky enough to see 7950 dropped down to £150...as AMD has pumped out ridiculous number of cards this gen...if anything, the launch of the 7870 and 7870 Tahiti LE are for the sake of keeping the price of 7950 high.

I reckon they're trying to dry the stocks so they just replace the cards instead of the older ones dropping in price.

And unfortunately for the consumer that translate to delay launch of next gen cards (which has already happened).
