So my friend who once ran off to lincoln to meet the guild mistress has now decided to pack his second life in. Now these days it seems you can sell your second life for so called RL money !?

When i knew this i was thinking the value of an account will be somewhat pushing around 50 pounds...

How wrong was I.

He had just been advertising on msn and already he has had 2 offers around 200 Pounds !.. i am absolutely speachless!, you can buy a decent PC for that!

So how much will you pay for a decent account thats been played for over 3 years.

Char details to follow tomorrow evening- his gone to sleep now, however i remember one of his char name which was ******** on frostmane.

I sold one of my accounts for 200 to someone I knew, was only a level 60 with greens/blues. And that was only a couple of months ago

Got my second account, but only a level 55, so don't think it's worth selling :p
 
Have seen them sold upto 1200Pounds before.

back in the days when selling them on ebay was allowed i remember seeing them for 200-800.

the time it takes for a average joe to get to lvl 70 is about 400hours id say, A average joe spends about 1-2hours a day on a game, after spending 8Pound a month, and then all the time spent, thats why they sell for allot. because the majority of people say lvling is boring, including myself, and i am yet to hit lvl 70 :(

had 2 lvl 60s (hunter, Paladin) before i quit the game

i might resub get them both up to 70 then sell the account off

will only do it if im looking at £200 or so

game messed my life up bad when it came out :(
 
So how do you go about selling accounts now? Do you have to spam trade chat in your respective server or is there some kind of forum/website that folks use?

I have a lvl 70 full epic warlock I'm looking to shift.

Accounts were worth a fortune if well geared pre-tbc as it high progressing guilds was the only way to get the best gear, friend got rid of his account then for 300 and then started over, nice way to make a new start.

Everyone can get good gear in TBC with the PVP / Arena rewards and the sheer number of guild doing 25 man content.
 
The first rogue with Twin Blades of Azzinoth sold for £7000. It was such a famous transaction, the account was banned 3 days later.

I've sold accounts (and bought them). Not for that much though. Most i paid for one was £60.
 
I remember Legend of Mir 2, a game I used to play years ago, guy had the highest level character in game (no level caps) with awesome gear and sold it for 4 grand
