Value of Life?

I never tried Lobster, the way they kill it is horrid & that is why I will never eat it. Nothing, should be boiled alive. If I am going to eat it, it has to be dead before I hear about or see it.

You dont watch it being boiled alive! It comes dead on your plate

How about how chickens are treated in farms, think id rather be boiled alive

I don't kill bees, wasps etc as a rule, but last year poured and ignited a can of petrol into a wasps nest, (hole in ground) in the garden, due to our dog and two of the bairns being stung.

So you ended hundreds of lives just to protect a dog and 2 human children

I know it's a hard thing to do but isn't it always better to sacrifice the few to save the many ? :p

So what is the value if life based upon?
Size? Intelligence? Looks?
I think it varies depending on an emotional connection to the animal in question.

I value the life of any human above that of almost any animal. But I value the lives' of my pets (when I had some), co-workers, friends and family above the lives of all other humans.

Can anyone honestly admit with hand-on-heart they don't actually enjoy killing Wasps? :D
When i was a small kid and i didnt know any better i did, its a bit like dancing with death when you kill wasps when theres a hive nearby though so that was probably some of the appeal.

Nowadays i wouldn't even consider killing one, same goes for an ant, if i knew there was one on the floor i would avoid it stamping on it. The only insects i make exception of are the blood sucking ones, hate the damn things.

You get 20 man points for killing a cat*

-1 for killing a moth

*Cats to me are vermin, I dont like them, and my dog hates them too, but will not chase them, stupid animal.
