Value of pound dropping ?

Presumably it's because of uncertainty over whether we stay or leave. Markets hate uncertainty.

It's a little bit of establishment scare-mongering (nothing brings the public into line more than headlines involving the words 'pound' and 'collapsing'), a little bit due to the Bank of England not raising interest rates as expected, and a little bit due to poor performance in the UK economy. In the long term it will correct itself, in the mean time 1GBP=1.23EUR isn't that bad, post the 2008 crash it went down to below 1.10EUR. The dollar price is really bad though.

Indeed - I remember being in NYC when it was 2.1/2.2 USD to the pound, that was a fun trip :D

The quicker it comes down the quicker speculators can buy at the low point and hang onto it until it bounces back. "They" want it to fail short term.

This is unfortunately in one way very good for us, and we could do with it sliding further. We've got stacks of cash in France that we need to move back to the UK.

I sold all my USA shares a few months ago.
It's going to slide further as we approach eu leave day

And at the results.. Either shoot up or drop like a stone

Then balance out after it

I love it, most my customers pay me in USD so things are even better than usual at the moment :D

I'm paid in dollars but I live in the UK so I'm smiling every day the pound weakens against the dollar.

The € has climbed a little in the last couple of days, the bank rate on XE has gone back up to €1.296. I hope it goes up further though for May.
