I need a second system for as little money as possible.
Will mainly be used to browse the internet.
I allready have a 400w PSU and 2 x 1GB of DDR3 RAM so would prefer a DDR3 system.
Someone mentioned to me you can unlock a second core on the 140 Semprons, how common is this and what chipsets are needed?
I require a CPU, Motherboard and Case.
I have specced the following:
Asus M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard £48.99
AMD Sempron 140 2.70GHz (Socket AM3) Processor - Retail £27.99
OcUK Athena Tower Case - Black £18.99
Sub Total : £95.96
Cheaper is better but not too cheap if it compromises quality if that makes sense or if can get something considerably better for a little more.
Or, would an Intel rig be better?
I couldnt use a E5400 with DDR3 RAM could I? As that would be the best "value" system wouldn't it?
