Steam users can now detect and install the latest ATI Catalyst driver for their ATI Radeon™ graphics card directly from within Steam. Valve’s most recent Steam Hardware Survey shows that fully 87 percent of DirectX® 11 gamers are enjoying ATI Radeon or ATI Mobility Radeon™ hardware.

Good idea, so long as you can choose to ignore it.

Not a good idea forcing driver updates, half they time they break stuff and you don't want to force somebody a dodgy driver.

Good idea, there will be an option to ignore it I'm sure, 90% of gamers prolly don't even know about driver updates, the enthusiasts on forums likeus are ina minority I think.
