Valve Index Base Station Alternative

With the current Valve base stations being out of stock.. are there any other base stations out there which will work with the Index at a similar price?

And if there are, how reliable are they?
 
Overclockers has a single base station available in clearance (under graphics cards for some reason).

Just make an offer in the customer service pre-sales part of the forum. If they're £130 new, maybe an offer of £100?
 
You can get them from HTC direct, but they don't supply mounts with them. As Overclockers sell base stations (even if they are B grade) I won't supply a link or price.

Vive 2.0 base stations are identical to the Valve ones, apart from the lack of a mounting bracket.

That's good to know. I'll check them out.

not too worried about the mounting brackets.. as long as the thread on the back is the same, i can just use QR clamp mounts on them
 
Any htc/valve base station will work. Version 1 or 2.

You should be able to source one, they were sold as an additional product.
 
I'm not sure if it's forbidden to mention external sites on this forum, but you can buy individual base stations on CeX. They're used, but most stuff comes with a warranty, so personally I find the risk worth it and have bought a lot from them over the years.
