According to this they do! http://www.psu.com/Valve-confirms-PS3-PCMac-cross-platform-play-for-Portal-2--a010437-p0.php

Valve’s beamed up a boatload of features for puzzler Portal 2 today, among which includes confirmation that the sequel will throw in cross-platform play between PlayStation 3 and PC/Mac owners.

In addition, the developer also confirmed, “persistent cloud-based storage PS3 saved games,” along with cross-platform chat for the aforementioned three systems.

Furthermore, Valve will offer a “Steam Play” of the title with every copy of the PS3 release, meaning a Steam key for the PC and Mac version will be featured.

“We made a promise to gamers at E3 that Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 would be the best console version of the product,” commented Valve head honcho, Gabe Newell.

“Working together with Sony we have identified a set of features we believe are very compelling to gamers. We hope to expand upon the foundation being laid in Portal 2 with more Steam features and functionality in DLC and future content releases.”

Portal 2 hits shops for PS3, PC and 360 in North America on April 18. A PAL release will follow on April 22.

That's certainly a change from the days when they were slagging off the PS3 and refusing to make any games for it:o

Welcome to E3 2010...

This is a good thing too! When Gabe announced Steamworks on the PS3 at E3 who'd have thought they'd including cross-platform gaming?

I was planning on buying the PC version anyway. Now I can get a copy on PS3, download the Steam version and sell my PS3 copy for nearly the original purchase price?

Times certainly have changed, and perhaps the lacklustre efforts of previous ports to the PS3 like The Orange Box (Not done by Valve obviously), and the prospects of the PS Network service are the things to get them started.

If keyboard and mouse controls are supported as well, then truely is really is a must have cross-platform title.

Would the DLC be free for PS3 users also? That would definately be a huge bonus too.

I hate to be cynical, but I imagine it's got a lot to do with them not seeing eye-to-eye with MS. Valve know they need to a friend in the console market, so if it's not MS it has to be Sony.

Yeah XBL license fees and no free DLC etc i.e. no free Team Fortress 2 updates.

Keep dreaming this is Gabe we are talking about which means the content will be locked to an account across the platforms, No way will they kill sales by making it available to sell second hand

We'll see how much they like it when you can compare the performance with the 360 version. TF2 PC free updates were great, but the game seemed to get less and less optimised as it went on. My new PC only performed as well as the old one on the beta.
