Bit of a heads up to the CSS Community. Valve will be introducing dynamic pricing to Counter Strike Source on a Major Steam update on October 11th. This means that each weapon will be have it's own dynamic pricing based on popularity. Each day game servers will then give information to the Steam servers and at the end of each week weapons will be repriced accordingly. One interesting. So if everyone buys the AK47 in week one you can expect the price to rocket in the next week.
Individual starting prices have not been released with the exception of the trusty old Deagle. This will be priced at $1100.00. So an early advantage on round 1 will not be available.
This will be a global update and servers can't opt out by changing a server cvar. A very interesting move to bring an "Economy" to CSS based on weapon popularity. I wonder what this means for some of the set strategies of CSS in ladders
Thoughts opinions ?
