Valves, valves, everywhere !

Hi All,

I've been helping mum clear out her house, and amongst all the other "must have just in case the world ended" dad seemed to stockpile a load of electronic valves.

I haven't a clue if they are worth anything (knowing that it seems there is a bit of a 'cult' for building valve amps/repairing old ones) so how do I work out what they are, and ideally, if they are worth anything? Are there key makes/models/types I should be trying to identify?

All are boxed, some sealed, and I'd risk saying that the open ones I have looked at appear brand new.

You're going to have to search around the model numbers as there are thousands. Typically the make and model are printed on the carton and on the side of the base.
