Ive downloaded off Steam, Vampire the Masquerade : Bloodlines - ive patched it to the latest official and unofficial patches, but the textures are really low res.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?
 
I've been trying to find a fix for this myself, but come up with nothing. Apparently the issue is caused by having more than 2GB RAM in your machine, something about the game defaults it to low textures. :(

Yeah I heard this problem was to do with over 2GB of RAM either that or a 64bit problem. As far as I know people have managed to fix the problem but I don't think its as simple as applying an unofficial fix (since I last read about this there may well be a patch now). I believe the most active VTM community is planet vampire forums you may want to make a post/serch there.

The only way ive managed to fix it (after doing a bit of searching) is to use msconfig to change ram to 2gb, textures work then, its a bit of a bummer as you have to boot and reboot after playing to get the 4gb back.
 
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines - texture/graphic upgrade mods?

Are there any out there that upgrade th textures/graphics? Similer to cinimatic mod for half-life 2 :) Any one know of any? I really want to get into a good vampire RPG and ive heard this is by far the best (well..only?) and seeing as i have a highish end pc.. i thought Hell.. why not get as many mods as possible :D
 
Couple of years late to this thread as it's been bumped but if you install the unofficial patch it has a fix for the texture memory bug IIRC.
