Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

A shame but not expected with all the trouble with the development of the game. Sad to say but it'll likely flop and we'll see those cheap keys sooner rather than later.
 
From the brief bit I've seen and played, it's not too bad. Graphics are nice, the story is okay, gameplay is okay. It's not going to set the World on fire but I'd say it's a 6/10 from the first hour. Not played more than that to see if it gets better or worse but when I do i'll update this post :)

Very bad CPU performance. If you have less than the latest you will not hold 60+ :mad:. Seen drops to the 40s in the open world on my 5700X3D, GPU usage is 40-50% lol. Lumen looks really bad imo here too, lots of blotching and ghosting glad I did not pay for this. UE5 strikes again.

Meanwhile 150fps in Battlefield 6 64p multiplayer.

I've not had anything like that so far (3900x) it's run really well for me, nothing, so far, has changed my mind about it being an average game though.

I'm getting similar to this video
. Ryzen 5000s seem only good for around mid 50fps.

Surely it must be dropping to the low 40s/high 30s in the city on a Ryzen 3000 CPU.

Strangely not - on ultra I'm getting lows of 60-63 and highs of 75. Menus at 100 (which is the refresh rate of the monitor) - I can't explain it, maybe where I ami in the game (just grabbed Benny). I'm not hitting 100% on either CPU or GPU. GPU at around 80% max.

Edit: DLSS is set to quality, I'm running at 3840x1080 UW (so that may be something to do with it).

I didn't expect much from this but I still feel disappointed. I guess I'd just hoped for a worthy sequel to what was such a classic original game.

That nosferatu I keep seeing clips of is absolutely laughable.

Proper old school, honestly it's one of the few games I think would be extremely well received with a good remake. There weren't a whole lot of PC gamers back in the year 2000 and it was borderline niche even then.

Christoph deserves some love.
 
Played the intro and it's worse than I thought.

The story without a doubt in my mind must be AI, I do not say that lightly. If you've watched The Expanse you will know what I mean, it's painfully similar at the beginning right down to the hat of a major player.

Very possible. They fired the main writer some years ago for some reason or the other and I think they started from scratch and may have used AI to help speed things up.
 
What the heck, i was anticipating this and didn't even realise it came out. Saw it on steam just now with mixed reviews!!!! I can't believe they messed up a golden goose like this.

Not surprised. They got rid of the dev team doing it first for what i understand was stupid reasons. Then hired a dev team that had no idea how to make a rpg game. Stupid publisher.

I was looking forward to it a lot. Now I will probably play it once it is a part of humble bundle or if at all. It is Bloodlines 2 in name only really. Stupid!
