I'm quite suprised there isn't already a thread about this (at least, not one I can find). It's due for release in June, having been delayed 7 months. If the reviews are postive, this will be a definate purchase for me.

"Vampyr is an action rpg played from a 3rd person perspective. The player controls the game's protagonist Jonathan E. Reid, a doctor who was made into a vampire, and whose thirst for blood compels him to kill innocent people. To do this successfully, he must gather information about his targets—study and change their habits, collect clues, and maintain certain relationships by communicating with the sixty inhabitants of London, which serves as a fictionalised semi-open world built around hubs of seamless neighbourhoods tethered to other interlinking areas"

Someone was streaming the PS4 version a couple of days ago. It looks good if not a little empty. Reviews soon, hopefully.

I decided to buy this last night. Seems good so far, but runs pretty poorly for me. Not sure why, because my system isn't all that bad; 980ti, AMD 8350,16gb ram. 1080p drops down to 25fps occasionally.

Somethings up there...I have a 1070, so roughly equal (I think) to your card.

I run it @ 1440p (downsampled) and it's not even breaking a sweat.

Do you run any monitoring s/w to see if you have any bottlenecks?

I don't have any monitoring software installed atm, but I'll have to get some sorted. I had far better performance with the last few games I've played. All of which I'd say are more demanding as well.

I made what I've now come to realise was a big mistake in the early stages of the game;
I Didn't realise that my dialogue choice would result in nurse whatshername dying and everything going to hell, while completing the blackmail quest.

I've just completed the game. I picked up on a few plot holes though.

Elisabeth mentions that as a vampire, her heart hasn't beat in a long time. Yet when you enter "vampire vision" you can clearly see it beating. During the fight in the hospital with Mcculum, he drinks the blood of King Arthur, who is later revealed to have been a vampire. So is Mcculum now a vampire? Lastly, the most significant plot hole. How is it that Reid isn't fried to a crisp when he visits the castle at the end of the game? It's clearly daylight....
