It is likely that I will be buying a Van this month.
That's right no replacement Mondeo in favour for a Van.

Anyway, at the moment I still am 18 with 0ncb.

I ran a quite with a Van brokers and asked the lady to quote me on an average van so she picked a 2.5l Transit. It came back as £1800. Which is cheaper than the Mondeo!

Just asking for recommendations of van insurer to try some more quotes with.

I thought £1850 was quite "cheap".

The company my Mum works for have just closed a depot so have 6vans surplus and they should be going very cheap. I don't think they are that abused and the mechanic which deals with them all is a car nut so takes a lot of pride in them apparently.

Just waiting on a call from the mechanic to hopefully go and have a look at them etc...

I know one of the Escort vans was sold for £600. W reg, immaculate.
 
a friend of mine had a problem with this, he insured a van and when he changed back to a car they said he could not use his no claims he gained on the van on his car he replaced the van with. I am not 100% certain on all the details but just a loophole to check into
 
The plan is to use my NCB on a weekend car which I will purchase later in the year.
Currently thinking MX-5.
