van rental @ age 22

hi,

does anyone know any place preferably round Newcastle that would rent a van to a 22 year old, as enterprise minimum age is 23.... need to move all my stuff back home which is only just down the road well durham (spenny) but theres a lot of big stuff (shelves and two chairs etc couple of tv's) and Id rake up just as much petrol with my dads car as Id have to do loads of trips but id also have to discombobulate everything too.... where as I could do it within one with a van....
 
cant seem to find an option to add another driver on enterprise ..... Itll be there but Im at work atm so Ill have a look later on thanks though :)
 
Just ring them up and ask. I used Arrow the other day and as a rule it's 23 minimum age but because I had no points and had my license for over 3 years they said it was fine at 22.
 
Recently used Europcar when I moved house. Had one driver at age 21 and it was a pretty standard 7ft Transit. Had to pay extra for being 21 though, and a big deposit as some kind of damage waiver. Well worth it though, no chance moving all our stuff in cars.

thatd be all ok but it would just be me thatd would be driving and the cost for that sounds high :confused:

Well the damage waiver was refunded (unless you crash lol, in which case you'll have a whopping excess to pay out anyway) and the extra fee for being 21 was like £8 iirc. Luckily, we're mates with the manager so ended up costing £26 for the whole rental:cool:
 
Are you a student? I know one of the big companies have started van hire for students and the prices aren't too bad either.
